Celebrate National Co-op month and join the Concord Co-op community this October! Co-op membership is co-op ownership! Membership is a one-time investment of $100 per household. There are no annual fees or additional costs. Co-op Membership is made up of four shares, one A share, and three B shares. You have the option to pay for the full four shares at once, or in separate $25 installments over the course of a year.
For the month of October only, when you purchase all four shares at once, you’ll receive a free Concord Co-op swag item. Swag options include either a custom designed canvas tote bag or a Co-op baseball cap.

It’s easy to become a Member of Concord Food Co-op. CLICK HERE or join in-store at either location by telling your cashier that you would like to become a member. The cost of membership is a one-time deposit of $100 per household. You have the option of paying your equity all at once or in four, $25 installments. Members who choose to pay all at once receive a $10 coupon towards their shopping trip. Since 1982, there have been no annual fees or additional costs.
This deposit is completely refundable. If you decide to end your membership, you can ask the Co-op to repurchase your shares and return your equity investment.
When the Co-op achieves a positive net income for the fiscal year, the Board of Directors may designate a portion of the profit be returned to the Members in the form of a refund check.
A refund is calculated like this: Each time a Member shops the Co-op, we enter your member number, allowing us to track your total purchases throughout the year. In years when the Co-op is profitable and the Board of Directors approves a patronage refund, each Member receives a percentage of their total purchases in the form of a refund check and/or equity shares. However, during any year in which the Co-op does not achieve a positive net income, Members would not receive a refund check or equity shares, thereby sharing in the Co-op’s financial ups and downs. Checks are mailed after the annual audit is complete in late autumn, pending approval by the Board of Directors.
Only Members of the Co-op who have $100 of equity contribution at the end of the fiscal year in which a patronage refund is declared are eligible to receive a refund when the Co-op is profitable.
