We strive to offer local foods on our bars whenever possible. Greens and other vegetables often come from Shaker Organic Gardens, and you can find Micro Mama’s fermented veggies on the olive bar. We never allow foods that contain artificial colors and flavors, bleached flours, high fructose corn syrup, added nitrates/nitrites, among other unnecessary additives. If you are looking for prepared foods and deli meats that are natural and prepared right here in our store, come to the Concord Co-op and taste the difference! Grab-n-Go sandwiches, salads, and a wide variety of prepared food options made from scratch in our kitchen are available at our Concord location. Select deli items also can be found at our New London store.

We have partnered with Hissho Sushi to provide delicious all-natural sushi made fresh every day. We have traditional sashimi options, as well as vegan selections. And, if you ask our sushi master behind the counter, he will be happy to make you custom rolls. Party platters available by special order.
Made Fresh Today
The chef starts prepping his sushi early each morning by making their exclusive recipe for sushi rice. He then prepares the vegetables, makes the sauces, and gets rolling. You can taste the difference, knowing everything is made fresh the same day you buy it. Our sushi chef purchases the seafood, along with all the other products used in our sushi, from an approved sushi supplier.
What’s so special about this sushi? You may not realize that the vast majority of sushi products are not all-natural. Flavorful sauces are usually loaded with high fructose corn syrup, artificial colors and flavors, trans fats, disodium guanylate, MSG, and other sketchy ingredients. The ginger and the wasabi served with sushi is often dyed pink and green. However, everything in our sushi is clean and delicious. At Hissho Sushi, freshly prepared sushi daily on-site is the only way we roll.

Our pastry chefs whip up a delicious array of cookies, scones, pastries, tarts, and other goods daily. Check out our bakery case for a selection that is constantly changing with traditional and seasonal desserts.
All our products are made with natural ingredients. We use flour milled right in New England, cage free eggs, and butter from a northeast farmer co-op. You’ll never find artificial colors, flavorings, preservatives, or hydrogenated oils in our sweet treats! Special orders are always welcome, ask a baker in store or call and ask to speak with the bakery department. Vegetarian, vegan and flourless options are also available.
